How Credzu collects, uses, shares, and protects your information

Credzu is committed to protecting your information and using it responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains:

- how it’s shared, and

This Policy applies to all users—Consumers, Service Providers, and Partners—who use the Credzu website, app, or services (“Platform”).

2. What Credzu Is
Credzu is a marketplace and escrow platform that helps Consumers connect with credit repair Service Providers. We provide communication, document exchange, score-based billing, and payment escrow services.
Credzu does not perform credit repair. Service Providers are independent companies.
Because we operate in a financial and highly regulated environment, we must collect certain personal and financial information to offer our services lawfully and safely.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways:
- Information you provide to us
- Information automatically collected when you use our Platform
- Information provided by third-party partners
3.1 Information You Provide
This includes:
For Consumers:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email
- Address
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number (used only for credit report matching and fraud prevention)
- Banking information (for ACH deposits and refunds)
- Documents uploaded during your engagement
For Service Providers:
- Company name
- Business address
- EIN
- Years in business
- Licensing information
- Contact names and emails
For Partners (lenders, agents):
- Name
- Company
- Contact information
- Borrower referral information (with consent)
3.2 Credit Report Data
To measure score improvements, Credzu uses embedded tri-bureau credit reports that include:
- Credit scores
- Account information
- Negative items
- Inquiry data
- Public records
This information is used only to calculate earned Service Provider fees and display accurate results inside the Platform.
3.3 Information We Collect Automatically
When you use Credzu, we automatically collect:
- IP address
- Device type
- Browser type
- Operating system
- Session activity
- Click and navigation behavior
- Time spent on pages
- Log data
- Error logs
We use this information to:
- keep the Platform secure,
- improve performance, and
- understand user experience.
3.4 Information From Third Parties
Credzu may receive information from:
- Mortgage lenders and loan officers who refer Consumers
- Identity verification services
- Anti-fraud services
- Payment processors
- Credit bureaus/credit report providers
When a lender refers a Consumer through an API, they typically provide:
- First name
- Last name
- Email
- Phone number
- Optional FICO range
Consumers must consent to data sharing before referral information is sent to Credzu.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
4.1 To Deliver Credzu Services
- Creating and managing your account
- Matching Consumers with Service Providers
- Sharing information inside shared chats
- Reviewing credit reports to calculate improvement
- Managing escrow deposits and disbursements
- Providing support and resolving disputes
4.2 To Maintain Security and Compliance
- Identity verification
- Fraud detection and prevention
- Compliance with CROA, TSR, FCRA, and financial regulations
- Audits and legal reporting when required
4.3 To Improve the Platform
- Analyzing usage patterns
- Diagnosing issues
- Improving user experience
- Developing new features
4.4 To Communicate With You
- Service updates
- Notifications about your engagement
- Escrow and payment updates
- Platform changes and new features

5. Who Can See Your Information
5.1 Within Shared Chats
Credzu uses a shared, multi-party chat system.
Participants may include:
- The Consumer
- The chosen Service Provider
- One or more Partners (e.g., loan officers)
Anyone in the chat can see communication and documents shared inside that chat.
Consumers may remove a Partner from the chat at any time.
5.2 Service Providers
Service Providers receive:
- consumer name
- phone number
- email
- relevant documents
- credit reports (only with your permission)
- information necessary to perform services
5.3 Partners
Partners:
- can see status updates
- can view chat messages only if they are inside the chat
- cannot see credit reports unless the Consumer shares them
- cannot see escrow balances
5.4 Third-Party Service Providers
Credzu uses trusted vendors for:
- hosting (Kinsta on Google Cloud Platform)
- file storage (Amazon Web Services – AWS)
- identity verification
- credit report delivery
- analytics
- customer support tools
- payment processing
These providers may access information only as needed to perform their functions.
5.5 Legal Requirements
We may share information when required by:
- subpoenas or court orders
- law enforcement requests
- regulatory authorities
- audits or compliance investigations
We only share what is necessary for the specific request.
6. How We Protect Your Information
We use modern industry safeguards, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted data storage on AWS
- Access control and monitoring
- Regular security audits
- Secure WordPress REST API endpoints
- Isolation of user data within Credzu’s architecture
- Limiting access to authorized personnel only
No online system is 100% secure, but we take your safety seriously.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain information only as long as necessary for:
- providing Credzu Services,
- complying with legal or financial obligations,
- resolving disputes, or
- maintaining accurate business records.
Credit reports and sensitive documents are stored only as long as required for the engagement and dispute windows.
8. Your Choices and Rights
8.1 You May:
- Update account information
- Change notification preferences
- Remove Partners from your chat
- Request account closure
- Request deletion of certain personal information (unless prohibited by law)
- Withdraw ACH authorization (with limitations)
8.2 What You Cannot Delete
Because of financial, regulatory, and audit requirements, you cannot delete:
- escrow records
- signed agreements
- payment history
- communications relevant to compliance

9. Children’s Privacy
Credzu is not for children.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Transfers of Information
If Credzu is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
If changes are significant, we may notify you directly.
